New component/part

Creating a new part
Creating a new component
In the components manager menu select "components" then "new component/part" then "part" and open the "part" dialog window.
Fill the Part dialog box. Fields required: Valid number, Title, Title english is optional, Unit, Location, Quantity.
Check box: If the new Part will be a spare component (number will be set to 0).
Check box: "expiry" if the new Part has a expiry date.
Select "ok".

Context menu is also available. Use right button and select "new".

Check box: "is critical equipment" if the new component will be a critical equipment component.
Select "ok".

Edit component/part

Context menu is also available. Use right button and select "edit".
Editing an existing part
In the main menu select "components" then select "components manager" for vessel and open the "components manager".
Select the list of Parts to find the part that you wish to edit.
In the components manager select the "edit" button.
Fill the Part dialog box. Fields required: Valid number, Title, Title english is optional.
Check box: Is spare component if the edited Part will be a spare component (number will be set to 0).
Check box: "expiry" if the new Part has an expiry date.
Select "ok".
In the main menu select "components", select "components manager" for vessel and open the "components manager" window.
Expand the components tree to find the component that you wish to edit.
In the "components manager" select the "edit" button.
Fill in Component dialog box. Fields required: Valid number, Title, Title english is optional.
Check box: "is critical equipment" if the edited component will be a critical equipment component.
Select "ok".
Editing an existing component

Delete component/part

Deleting a not predefined (not locked) component
In the main menu select "components" then select "components manager" for vessel and open the "components manager".
Expand the components tree to the find component that you wish to delete.
In the "components manager" select "delete".

Deletion of the components predefined (locked) is available for system administrator.

Deletion of the components is available if there are no parts for this component, and there is no subcomponents for selected component.
