A device is a property of a component, a job which allows the collection of components into one single logical component.
This property is very useful when searching for some device eg. CO2 installation, Main Engine, Life boat etc.
Devices are used in a Automation Report, a Megatest Report and the Component Manager.

The search box in the component manager allows you to select a device as property to search.
Each of the found components with the same device will be displayed in serch result table.

Devices can be deleted only by the system administrator and local administrator (8 and 9 access level).
